About Me
Callie is a gentle, petite 6-year-old Calico who came from a hoarding situation; but she has forgiven all and has not let past events change her affectionate, curious and playful self! While understandably timid initially, Callie did not hiss, bite or lash out; she just kept herself secluded under the bed for a few hours.
Callie is tender and expressive, and she demonstrates this at every opportunity by raising up on hind legs for head bumps, responding to chin rubs by plopping down and rolling over, answering baby talk with a tiny meow or trill, curling up in a lap, following the hoomans room to room and by licking the hands that pet her.
Her favorite things include a feather wand, laser light, kicky toy, string thing and exploring. She likes to be up on surfaces or snuzzled under the covers or catching some rays on the windowsill and would surely enjoy a cat tree in front of a sunny window. Callie conducts covert operations at night where her bedding, throw rugs and items on table tops are rearranged; but she is not destructive. She consistently uses her floor and vertical scratchers.
Callie is a companion cat because of her infinite amount of affection and desire to be close and engaged. She adores lap time and being carried around on the shoulder; however, she is also as energetic as a kitten, curious, smart, a bit mischievous and is often in search of a new adventure. She is an explorer and has planted herself in some very unlikely places.
Callie has excellent bathroom etiquette and takes great care in keeping herself groomed. She has been introduced to the resident cat, and all is well as long as she doesn’t sneak up on him - as is her curious manner.
Callie is an indoor only cat. She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, microchipped, has had recent dental work/cleaning and is ready to enter into a new chapter in her life.
