Adoption Team Member
This position will report to the Executive Director. The job will be approximately 40 hrs. per week, Tuesday - Saturday, some flexibility will be required. Wage dependent upon experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process adoption applications, counsel and educate potential adopters, and process adoptions using PetPoint
- Post adoption administrative tasks (updating cat inventory and adopter information into shelter data platforms)
- Post adoption communications with staff, fosters and volunteers
- Conduct Feline-ality assessments & enter results into PetPoint
- Determine room placements for new cats coming out onto the adoption floor (consulting cat care for any specific medical or dietary needs)
- Provide post adoption support to adopters
- Manage Facebook alumni group
- Set up Constant Contact follow up emails for adopters
- Address behavioral concerns from adopters and provide resources
- Adoption Marketing
- Provide weekly cat bios & photos to Boise Weekly
- Lead Feline Friday
- Collaborate with the Outreach Coordinator to implement projects and promotions for the Adoption Program.
- Verify end of month data in Shelter Pet Data Alliance and Shelter Animals Count
- Perform reception duties as needed
- Evening shut down of facility
Required Qualifications
-Demonstrate ability to work independently and in a small team
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
-General computer software and social media skills
-Valid, current driver’s license with good driving record
-Ability to safely lift 40 lbs.
