About Me
Not long ago, I was living outside, trying to survive on my own. Everything felt uncertain and overwhelming. When I was brought inside Simply Cats, I was scared and unsure of what was happening or who I could trust. I didn’t know yet that I was safe.
I’m still a shy boy, but I’ve been working really hard. The kind volunteers are helping me learn that gentle hands can be good things. Right now, I’m practicing accepting soft chin and cheek pets, and each time, it gets a little easier. I don’t hide anymore. I like spending time in the catio, where I can relax, observe, and build my confidence at my own pace.
The best thing that’s happened to me here is meeting my best friend, Slinky. He stays close to me and makes me feel safe. Sometimes he lays right on top of me, like he’s protecting me. He grooms me and reminds me that I’m not alone. Having a friend like him has helped me be brave.
I may be quiet, but I’m gentle. I’ve never tried to hurt anyone. I’m just a sensitive boy who needs time, patience, and someone who understands that trust doesn’t happen all at once. It grows slowly, in small moments.
I’m trying. And I know that with the right person and a safe home, I’ll keep growing into the cat I was always meant to be.
