I Found Kittens
What Should I Do?
During kitten season, it is not uncommon to come across a litter of kittens, mama cats, or pregnant cats that need help. Our foster program cares for hundreds of kittens each year and finds them their forever homes. If you have found kittens, your first instinct might be to pick them up and take them inside. Despite your good intentions, doing so could cause more harm than good. Every situation is different so please read the information below on how best to proceed or call us for help at (208) 343-7177.

Urgent Kitten Care

- Intake Process and Fees
Simply Cats is a not for profit organization that relies on donations to continue our work saving cats. We spend, on average, about $183 per shelter cat, per year. All cats and kittens at our facility are spayed or neutered, examined by our Medical Director, vaccinated, dewormed, disease tested and microchipped prior to adoption. We do ask for a surrender fee to help care for the kittens or mama cats you would like to place with us.

INTAKE REQUEST FORMOnce submitted, look for an email response or phone call from our Foster Coordinator. We understand that time is of the essence and we will respond to your intake request as quickly as possible.
If we are able to take your cat, you will be scheduled for an intake appointment. Please plan to spend 20-30 minutes to allow for a brief exam of the cat and/or kittens and disease testing. It is critical that you arrive at the required time, or call us if you are going to be late. We do not accept cats without an appointment.
