My name is Joseph. Being in a new environment can be stressful, especially when everything you’ve ever known changes. I’ve never had a home of my own, though I’ve had kind caretakers who made sure I was fed and safe. I would find quiet spots to sleep under mobile homes, where I could feel a little bit of security.
Recently, my primary caregiver had to move into assisted living, and that change really shook me. It reminded me how hard transitions can be, especially for a cat like me, whose world was once familiar and is now completely different.
I am a boy who is scared and unsure, but I carry a sweetness inside and a lot of untapped potential. I want love and companionship, though trust will take time. In my previous life, I was known for being approachable and enjoying gentle lap time.
I am looking for a patient person who can give me space when I need it and offer gentle encouragement when I am ready. Someone who will meet me where I am, celebrate the small victories, and show me what it truly means to be home.
