About Me
I’m Emmett! My sister Elair and I came from a cat colony in Mountain Home, where we learned to be cautious and to stick close to each other. When we first arrived at Simply Cats, we were extremely nervous… everything was new and overwhelming. We were adopted once, but after two months, we were returned.
Since then, we’ve been in a caring foster home, slowly learning to trust. Thanks to time, love and patience—we’ve both grown braver.
I’m a handsome black boy with a soft heart. My sister and I love batting at string toys and could play for ages. We also enjoy watching birds and squirrels from the window. Loud noises and quick movements still make us nervous, so a home without young children would be best. While I’m shy around new people, I seek out affection from my foster mom—and one of my favorite things is following her around the house like her little shadow. My sister and I are also getting more comfortable with her dog, and we love spending time with her other two cats.
It will take time to earn our trust, but once you do, you’ll see just how much love we have to give. We’re looking for someone patient and kind, who understands that love on our terms is still love… and it’s the kind that lasts.
