About Me
I’m Elair! I’m a black and white tuxedo girl with a gentle nature and a strong bond with my brother, Emmett. We came from a cat colony in Mountain Home and were originally trapped, neutered and returned (TNR). But it quickly became clear we weren’t meant for outdoor life, and we struggled to adapt. Thanks to a kind soul, we were brought to Simply Cats to find a safer path.
At first, everything felt scary and new. We were extremely nervous and unsure how to be around people. We were adopted once, but after a couple of months, we were returned. Since then, we’ve been in a calm, loving foster home… and that’s where we’ve started to grow braver, together.
I’m still shy around new people, but once I trust you, my sweetness shines through. When I’m in a lovable mood, or when I want food, I’ll gently nibble or lick your fingers and toes to let you know! I also love carrying little toys around in my mouth while chatting to myself. My brother and I could play with string toys for hours, and we love watching birds and squirrels from the window.
Emmett is a bit braver than I am, but we’re both learning to feel safe. Because loud noises and fast movements can scare us, a home without children would be best. We’re getting used to the dog in our foster home and love spending time with the other two cats.
We are good little kittens… gentle, curious and full of heart. All we need now is a patient adopter who understands that love sometimes takes time… and that once it blooms, it’s the most special kind there is.
