March Volunteer of the Month- Sandi Perkey!
Sandi has been volunteering with Simply Cats for a little under a year but it feels like much longer! She is an expert room cleaner, a scared kitty whisperer and a special event pro! She comes in every Tuesday and makes sure our kitties have clean places to call home. It doesn’t matter if there are 5 rooms to clean or only 2, she makes sure every room is clean as can be and that every cat gets special attention. She has also volunteered at some of our outreach events! From spreading holiday (kitty) cheer at the Boise Christmas Show to most recently, asking local business to donate items to our upcoming fundraiser, Catsino, we are SO LUCKY to have Sandi as a part of Simply Cats. You can tell that she truly believes the work she is doing here is important and worthwhile and spreads the word about us wherever she goes. Thank you Sandi for giving us your time! We appreciate you and are so lucky to have you as part of our team!
March Foster Spotlight- Coming soon!
Volunteer of the Year- Deb Kujawa
Deb has been volunteering with us for just about two years and boy, are we lucky to have her! She is with us on Thursday mornings to assist with adoption room cleaning. When Deb is here she is like a tornado- cleaning rooms quickly but efficiently and never skimping on kitty attention in each room. Deb is also a foster parent extraordinaire. She is always up to foster any and all cats and kittens and always goes above and beyond to provide them with the best foster home possible. Her abundance of love and patience with kitties is unending. Not only is Deb a great Room Cleaner AND Foster- she also helps with any and all special projects we have. Whether it is making (and donating) decorated Christmas kitties, representing Simply Cats at outreach events, or helping with offsite adoptions, Deb is always eager to help! Thank you, Deb for sharing your spirit and ideas with us. We are so thankful for you.
Foster of the Year- Tina Hamren
Tina has also been a part of Simply Cats for about two years and we couldn’t be more thrilled. She originally started fostering because she missed having kitties in the home and now, she is hooked!! She recently even had two mamas and 8 kittens destroying her home!! Tina is so patient, dedicated, loving and kind- We are so grateful to have such a wonderful person caring for our kittens until they are ready for adoption. Thank you Tina for all that you do for our organization and our foster program- we couldn’t do it without you!
