Bruce

Hi my name is Bruce.  I came to Simply Cats from a shelter in Wyoming.  Our facility had to shut down due to lack of funds.  Lucky me they had room here!  I’m not quite sure how I feel about shelter life.  You see I don’t really like other kitties.  Since being brought here has shaken me up a bit I need help regaining my bravery.  Once I trust you I might ask you for a nice tummy rub!  My former foster mom at the shelter in Wyoming has paid my adoption fee in hopes that someone will give me a forever home without any other kitties.  So, I come neutered, vaccinated and microchipped at no cost to you.  Won’t you please come meet me?  I would love to go home with you!

Our Newly Expanded Sponsorship Program

Our sponsorship program provides a means by which you, as a donor, can support the cats at Simply Cats Adoption Center. We have provided a number of options from which to choose for those who have a specific area of interest or a particular donation amount in mind. You might even consider a gift of sponsorship.

At our facility, we care for an average of 110 cats each month. By participating in our sponsorship program, you can help with the direct costs of this care.

In 2009, our organization took in 203 cats and adopted out 211 to new homes. All cats adopted out from our facility are spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Veterinary costs per cat average approximately $70.00 per month. General cat care costs per cat (which include food and litter), average approximately $10.00 each month.

Feline Foodbank Needs Your Help

Simply Cats’ Food Bank provides cat food to   families in need so they are not forced to relinquish their feline companions, or worse.
During these difficult economic times, many   families are struggling to make ends meet.  Some are forced to make tough choices between paying their own food, housing and utility bills, and   buying pet food for their beloved pets.  More   families are making the choice to surrender their pets to shelters in order to give them a better chance at quality care.  At Simply Cats, we have seen an increase in owner-surrendered cats for these reasons.  Our food bank can ease the pain of these tough choices and help to keep felines at home with their families.

One 4-pound bag of food will feed a cat for a month.  A 5.5 oz can of food will provide four meals.  During the first 6 months of 2010 alone, Simply Cats gave out over 5,700 pounds of food to over 100 families (that’s over 2 tons)!  For the last several months, we have run out of food prior to the end of each food bank.  We could use your support.  If you can, please donate canned or dry cat food, or send in a monetary donation with a specific request to be used for the food bank.  Click here to make a monetary donation online.  For more information on how to donate, please visit our How to Help section.
