Simply Cats Goes Back to School!
This fall, for the first time, and in partnership with The Boise School District Community Education Program, Simply Cats is pleased to offer Cat Care Education classes to adults at our adoption center! Course topics include learning how to choose the right cat for the best match, solving common problems such as litter box aversion and learning all about feline health and wellness. Each class includes a tour of the facility. For detailed information about the classes and to register, please visit the Boise Schools Community Education website: http://www.boiseschools.org/commed/registration.html
Our Cats need Sponsors
For the first time in a year, we have over 24 adult cats in our facility without sponsors. Your sponsorship support goes directly to the care of the cats at our adoption center. For additional information, please visit our sponsorship page. To view the cats that need sponsors ~ and to choose the cat you wish to sponsor, just visit our adoptable cats pages and find those kitties with the Sponsor Me icon!
Are you an experienced gardener?
With the near completion of our lovely memorial garden, Simply Cats is looking for an experienced gardener who would be willing to volunteer a few hours per week during the gardening season to keep our perennial gardens looking beautiful. This would include deadheading, pruning as needed, fertilizing, and as the garden matures, dividing and replanting perennials. If you have time in your week to do this, contact us at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
Feline Quick Tips
Did You Know?
Watch a cat groom, leap or curl up into a ball and you can’t help admire the remarkable feline flexibility. One of the reasons his range of positions exceeds our is that he has many more bones in his little body than we larger creatures. Depending on tail size and number of toes, cats on average have 244 bones versus our 206.
