that Idaho is 1 of only 3 states that does not have felony penalties for the worst animal cruelty and torture?

Simply Cats staff recently participated in the rescue of 27 cats from a horrific hoarding situation. 32 other animals were also seized from this home. Unfortunately, Idaho’s animal cruelty laws are so weak, that the authorities returned 3 of these cats to the hoarder. After much disappointment and frustration, we are refocusing our energy into more actively spreading the word about the opportunity voters have to make a difference in Idaho’s laws. We all can make a difference by signing the circulating petition to put a new animal cruelty initiative on the 2012 ballot.
