Simply Cats is offering education classes for adults right here at the shelter! In our classes, taught by experienced educators and cat care experts you will learn the basics of feline wellness, delve into the fascinating world of feline behavior and learn how to solve common cat problems. Whether you are already a pet parent or thinking of adopting a cat, there is a class for you!

FREE CLASSES
Cat Care 101
~ these classes are packed with useful insights and information:
Feline Social Behavior
This insightful course covers the developmental stages of cats from kitten to senior, how to choose the right cat for your household and introducing a new cat to your home; existing pets and/or children.
Common Problems Solved
This course focuses on solving common problems such as litter box aversion, inappropriate play, shyness, anxiety and/or aggression, managing your allergies to cats and excessive meowing.
Feline Health and Wellness
This useful course highlights such topics as diet and nutrition, exercise, disease prevention, dental care, the benefits of spay/neutering and grooming.
Fostering Cats and Kittens
Have you ever wanted to foster homeless kittens or cats but did not know where to begin? This exciting and informative class will cover all the basics of fostering kittens and/or adult cats. Some topics covered will include why the program is needed, what kinds of cats and kittens are served, and information on how to be a great foster parent!
CLASSES WITH TUITION
Pet Meets Baby! Bringing Children Home to Pets
Do you have pets and are you expecting a new baby or child in your home? Are you worried about them meeting and getting along? Attend this class developed by the American Humane Association to learn how to prepare your pets and yourself for the new changes your baby will make in the household dynamic. Learn what to do before baby arrives and how to introduce your pet and baby for a lifetime of rewarding interaction.
This course will focus on topics such as:
- Preparing your pets for new sounds,sights, smells, and schedules before the arrival of the baby
- How to introduce your pets for the firsttime to your new baby
- Identifying and addressing specific behavior issues
- Disease concerns
We recommend attending class when you are 3 to 4 months pregnant.
COST:
$15.00 per couple /$7. 50 for individual. Pre-registration is required.
